CARDIONCOLOGY.ORG ABSTRACT:
This meta-analysis analyzes the effects of β blockers on the primary prevention of anthracycline-induced cardiotoxicity.
Data from 940 participants indicate that in cancer patients undergoing anthracycline therapy, prophylactic β blockers reduced the risk of heart failure, decreased left ventricular diameter, improved left ventricular systolic function, and alleviatived cardiomyocyte injury.
