CARDIONCOLOGY.ORG ABSTRACT:
This article discusses the elevated cardiovascular risk in cancer patients and the high incidence of hypertension following cancer diagnosis as a contributing factor due to the direct effects of chemotherapeutic agents.
The authors argue for greater accuracy in monitoring of blood pressure as well as greater care in the selection of antihypertensive medications.
