This module covers the emergence and development of cardio-oncology as a subspecialty, and the role of the cardio-oncologist and stakeholders.
Learning objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
- Define cardio-oncology and the role of the cardio-oncologist
- Identify stakeholders in the cardio-oncology service
Target audience
This activity is primarily intended for clinicians who have special interest in the cardiovascular needs of patients with cancer, including cardiologists, oncologists, nurses and other members of the multidisciplinary cardio-oncology team.
