CARDIONCOLOGY.ORG ABSTRACT:
Takotsubo cardiomyopathy (TTS) is an extremely rare complication of fluorouracil containing chemotherapy regimes.
This case study documents mid-ventricle to apical hypokinesis and confirmed TTS in a 54 year old female with metastatic colorectal cancer patient.
The patient was successfully treated with inotropes and non-invasive ventilation and all disease previously visible on MRI resolved.
