CARDIONCOLOGY.ORG ABSTRACT:
In this retrospective study, patients with central nervous system tumors were compared with age-matched controls to identify the risk of cardiovascular disease following craniospinal irradiation (CSI).
Results indicate that subclinical cardiac systolic dysfunction by Global myocardial strain analysis including longitudinal peak systolic strain (GLS) is present both early and late after CSI.
