CARDIONCOLOGY.ORG ABSTRACT:
As survival rate of cancer patients increases, long-term cardiovascular (CV) effects from cancer treatment are appearing in some patients. Probability of CV disease following cancer treatment increases with pre-existing CV disease and risk factors. A survey by the Council of Cardio-Oncology and the Council for Cardiology Practice was sent out to subscribers to uncover understanding of cardiologists in terms of the relationship between cancer and cardiac disease.
